MSE purchase preference

What MSE purchase preference means in a GeM tender

Definition

Under the Public Procurement Policy for MSEs, government buyers give eligible MSEs a preference: when the L1 is not an MSE, an MSE whose price is within a band of L1 stated in the bid may be allowed to supply part of the quantity by matching the L1 price. The band, share and conditions are written in the bid document.

In simple words

Aap L1 nahi bhi ho, par MSE ho aur rate kareeb ho, to L1 ka rate match karke order ka hissa mil sakta hai.
