Consignee

What Consignee means in a GeM tender

Definition

The consignee is the buyer-side official and location that receives the goods or services. A bid can have one or many consignees, each with its own address and quantity. The consignee checks delivery, issues the provisional receipt and, after acceptance, the CRAC — which is what starts the payment process.

In simple words

Consignee woh banda/office hai jahan maal pahunchana hai aur jo 'maal mil gaya, theek hai' likh kar deta hai.
