CRAC (Consignee Receipt and Acceptance Certificate)

What CRAC means in a GeM tender

Definition

CRAC is the certificate the consignee generates on GeM after the goods or services have been received, inspected where required, and accepted. It is the key step for payment: once CRAC is issued, the seller's bill moves to the paying authority. If CRAC is delayed, payment is delayed, so follow up with the consignee after delivery.

In simple words

CRAC matlab officer ka 'maal mil gaya aur theek hai' wala certificate — iske bina payment nahi chalta.
