MII (Make in India)

What MII means in a GeM tender

Definition

MII refers to the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order, under which government buyers give purchase preference to local suppliers based on local content. Suppliers declare their local content percentage in the bid; Class-I local suppliers get the highest preference. Misdeclaration can lead to penalties, and the bid states any applicable conditions.

In simple words

MII matlab 'Bharat mein bana maal' ko tender mein pehle mauka — kitna local hai, woh aapko declare karna hota hai.
