Definition
A Global Tender Enquiry is a tender open to foreign as well as Indian bidders. Government rules restrict GTEs below a value threshold so that Indian suppliers get those contracts, and exceptions need approval at a high level. For most GeM sellers this means ordinary bids are domestic; if a bid is marked as a GTE, read its special terms.
