Custom bid

What Custom bid means in a GeM tender

Definition

A custom bid is used when the buyer's requirement does not fit a standard GeM product or service category. The buyer writes its own specification or scope of work and the bid is published for sellers who offer the relevant custom category. Because the specification is buyer-written, read the scope and ATC especially carefully and raise queries early.

In simple words

Jab maal standard list mein nahi hota, officer apni spec khud likh kar custom bid nikaalta hai.
