BoQ (Bill of Quantities)

What BoQ means in a GeM tender

Definition

A Bill of Quantities is a list of items with their description, unit and quantity on which sellers quote rates. On GeM, a BoQ bid lets the buyer upload many line items in a template; sellers fill in their rates and the total is calculated. Read the BoQ carefully — the bid document says whether evaluation is on the grand total or item-wise.

In simple words

BoQ ek list hai — kaunsa item, kitna chahiye — aur aapko har line ke aage apna rate bharna hai.
