Definition
Every GeM bid has a unique number in the form GEM/<year>/B/<number>, for example GEM/2026/B/1234567. Reverse auctions linked to a bid carry their own number with R in place of B. Quote the bid number when you search on gem.gov.in, talk to the buyer or raise a query, because titles of different bids are often identical.
